Auth0 was founded in 2008 by Eugenio Pace and Matias Woloski. The company has not officially endorsed a plan to participate in an IPO. Auth0 has developed a universal authentication and authorization platform for web, mobile, and legacy applications, labeled by the company as “Identity-as-a-Service”.

The company has raised over $330 million in Venture Capital funding from investors including Sapphire Ventures, World Innovation Lab, DTCP, Salesforce Ventures, Meritech Capital Partners, Telstra Ventures, Trinity Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners, and K9 Ventures. Per a company press release, Auth0 last raised $120 million in July 2020 at a post-money valuation of nearly $2 billion.
