DoorDash IPO

DoorDash was founded in 2013 by Tony Xu, Evan Moore, Andy Fang, and Stanley Tang. In a press release from February 2020, the company announced in had confidentially submitted a draft registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission relating to a proposed Initial Public Offering.

The company owns a mobile application that allows users to order food delivery from a range of restaurants. The company has raised approximately $2 billion in Venture Capital funding from investors including Sands Capital Ventures, Dragoneer Investment Group, Coatue Management, DST Global, SoftBank, Kleiner Perkins, Sequoia Capital, Benchmark, and Khosla Ventures. It has been widely reported that DoorDash last raised $600 million in May 2019 at a post-money valuation of approximately $12.6 billion.
