Postmates, the last-mile delivery service for anything ranging from food to iPhones, announced in February 2019 that it had confidentially submitted a draft registration statement with the SEC in advance of an initial public offering. Subsequently in October 2019, it was broadly reported that the company had postponed its IPO plans.

The company was founded in 2011 and has raised over $900 million in Venture Capital funding from investors including GPI Capital, BlackRock, G Squared, 2020 Ventures, Tiger Global Management, Kindred Ventures, Slow Ventures, Spark Capital, Expansion Venture Capital, Crosslink Capital, and Uncork Capital. Most recently, Postmates raised $225 million in September 2019 at a post-money valuation of $2.4 billion.
